Fifteen internationally acclaimed stars and over 250 local artists perform beautiful and atmospheric music in stunning settings celebrating the Liberation of Jersey. Highlights include: the Band of the Royal Marines, Jazz at Hamptonne with BBC Jazz Artist of the Year Clare Teal, Stars from the Royal Ballet, the Berlin Philharmonic Octet, the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne and international soloists performing chamber music. The world famous Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines will open the Festival with a military music spectacular featuring festive music, military marches, big band hits and popular showstoppers. This entertaining band delights audiences wherever they perform. From royal occasions through to public concerts they are always well received. Start the build up to the Liberation Day Festivities in style at this special event - book early to avoid disappointment. The event raises money for the Royal Marines Association.

Sponsored by Deutsche Bank and Mourant Ozannes, the Berlin Philharmonic Octet with Peter Donohoe (piano) commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Channel Islands from Nazi occupation. Poignant personal stories unfold in the readings of diaries and letters written by islanders during that time. Musicians from one of the best orchestras in the world perform single movements from Schubert to Messiae.
There will be a pre-concert talk with members of the Berlin Philharmonic at 7pm.

Enjoy a walk around Rozel bay on Jersey's East coast exploring Jersey's wartime fortifications, and beautiful countryside and being serenaded by violinist Harriet Mackenzie and guitarist Morgan Symanski. Meet your guide historian Ian Ronayne at the car park for Chateau La Chaire.
At 4.30pm, after the walk is a concert of famous guitar and violin music by the duo in the historic chapel of Rozel Manor.

A stunning Gala concert with the Orchestra Symphonique de Bretagne performing a set of popular songs from the Sound of Music as well as from musicals by Irving Berlin and Cole Porter with celebrated soprano Sarah Fox and the Jersey Island Games choir. The concert includes a new piece called Brothers in Arts commissioned for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landing by Guillaume St James and Grammy nominated composer Chris Brubeck. It tells the story of the liberation of France through the sounds of the times from boogie-woogie to jazz.

A celebration of Jersey's Liberation features Michael Collins and Friends – six international soloists performing in a night of masterworks from Beethoven's Clarinet Trio, to Schumann's Piano Quartet and Brahms' Clarinet Quintet. The soloists include Leonard Elschenbroich, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Wu Qian, as well as Michael Collins. A pre-concert event talks to Michael Collins about the music at 7:00pm.

Stars from the Royal Ballet Sarah Lamb and Steven McRae entertain with your favourite ballet solos and duets in this evening of famous ballet dance and music alongside the Jersey Festival Orchestra. Including scenes from Romeo and Juliet, the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake this evening is set to dazzle and amaze ballet fans.
