A keen chamber musician he has performed at Festival such as Verbier, Lugano, and Edinburgh playing regularly with such colleagues as Janine Jansen, Maxim Rysanov and Alexei Ogrintchouk.

In 2001 he was a finalist at the Queen Elizabeth Violin Competition and won the 2001 Reuters Prize and in 2004 he won the Guildhall School of Music's highest award, the Gold Medal (past winners include Jacqueline du'Pre, Tasmin Little and Bryn Terfel). Boris Brovtsyn was born in 1977. After graduating from Moscow's Central Music School in 1994, he entered the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he studied with Maya Glezarova. During his time there he became a laureate of international competitions, such as Georg Kulenkampf (1994, Cologne), Transnet (1996, Pretoria) and Yehudi Menuhin (1998), before graduating with top honours in 1999.

...and has performed across five continents. A multi-faceted virtuoso, she performs music from Baroque to the 21st century, the strictly Classical to Gypsy, Klezmer, Argentinian, Balkan and Japanese music.

Harriet has taken part in many world premieres playing music specifically written for her as a soloist, including Robert Fokkens' violin concerto premiered at the Southbank Centre in London and Deborah Prichard's 'Wall of Water' violin concerto, inspired by the paintings of Maggi Hambling.

In addition to her solo work she is a lover of chamber music and is a founder member of the innovative trio 'Kosmos Ensemble' and violin duo ‘Retorica. The Classical range is explored in Retorica's internationally acclaimed CD of British Violin Duos, which was chosen as 'Editor's Choice' in Gramophone Magazine, cited for Harriet's "superbly responsive playing ... faultless technique and unfailing insight."

The orchestra appointed Daniel Cohen, the young Israeli conductor as its Musical Director and Principal conductor after the second concert and together the musical partnership has been thrilling and enriching. As Daniel has developed from a young rising star who was a protégé of Daniel Barenboim to an established international conductor so the orchestra has developed alongside him.

The orchestra has also worked with a series of conductors from Christopher Seaman, to Howard Blake and looks forward to future concerts with Michael Collins and Daniel Cohen over the course of 2015 to 2016.

The orchestra has worked regularly with such instrumental soloists as Alison Balsom, Nicola Benedetti, Leonard Elschenbroich, Michael Collins, Alexander Sitkovetsky, and Wu Qian, as well as vocal soloists Elizabeth Watts, Sophie Bevan, Graeme Danby, and Lawrence Zazzo. Linked to each concert are opportunities for masterclasses and educational works for young local students. The leader of the Jersey Chamber Orchestra is Anna Smith.

At fifteen she performed Mozart's E flat Major Concerto (K449) in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and again at the Menuhin Festival in Switzerland. In the same year she also played the Saint-Saens Concerto No.2 with the Philharmonia Orchestra in St. John's, Smith Square. She made her debut recital at the South Bank Purcell Room in 2000 and has since played there again on several occasions, including a recital broadcast by BBC Radio 3 the following year.

Qian gave recitals throughout Europe and the US including the Steinway Halls of Hamburg and New York, where her performance was broadcast by NHK throughout Asia. She has appeared in many of the UK's major venues including the Wigmore, Royal Festival and Bridgewater Halls, and she has made her debut recital in City Hall Hong Kong. Qian's debut recording was released in April 2009 on the Dal Segno label to unanimous critical acclaim.

This season she has made her recital debut at the Chamber Hall of Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and has performed other recitals in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Padova and Koblenz. Qian has represented China at the Europalia Festival in Belgium performing Chopin's 2nd Piano Concerto on tour with the Brussels Philharmonic and has just come back from Toronto where she performed the "Yellow River" Piano Concerto at the National Arts Center.

Miloš has performed at prestigious venues across the world including locally the Wigmore Hall, to St Martin in the Fields, and internationally from Russia, to Australia and New Zealand. He has given live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM, ABC and Serbian National Radio and television network.

Miloš has premiered works by Anthony Gilbert, Howard Skempton, Elena Firsova, Stephane Altier, Patrick Nunn, Ben Foskett, Tom Lane, Elena Vorotko, Carlos Duque, Mark Bowden, Emily Hall, Chris Mayo, Anna Meredith, Philip Venables, and Robert Percy and he has given the UK premiere of Sequenza No.13 by Luciano Berio. In masterclasses he has received guidance from many distinguished musicians, including Nicholas Cleobury, John Williams, Steven Isserlis and Gorgy Kurtag. Miloš is also a keen chamber musician. He is a member of the London Tango quintet, Kosmos Ensemble and AccordDuo.

In March 2008, Miloš Milivojević was the Winner of the prestigious Derek Butler London Prize at the Wigmore Hall.

Dora

Dora Kokas - Cello

Dóra Kokas was born in 1992 and has already established herself as one of the leading cellists of her generation, performing regularly as a recitalist, chamber musician as well as a soloist. Dóra won two prestigious prizes in 2014, one at the Pablo Casals International Cello Competition and another at the Liszt Academy Soloist Competition in Budapest, Hungary. In 2015 she received the Hungarian Gundel Prize and was awarded the Junior Prima Prize. Dóra has studied at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy under the direction of Miklós Perényi.

Her solo career was launched after victories in three major international competitions: William Primrose, Geneva and Concert Artists Guild (where she was the first violist ever to win First Prize.) Recent and upcoming highlights include her solo debut at the Berlin Philharmonie, performances with orchestras on four continents, the complete chamber works of Brahms in Tel Aviv and Amsterdam and directing from the viola across South America.

An enthusiastic speaker and writer about music, Jennifer Stumm's TED talk about the viola and the blessings of being different, “The Imperfect Instrument,” was named an editor's pick of all talks on ted.com and she was recently cover artist of Symphony Magazine. She recorded Berlioz's Harold in Italy for Orchid Classics and has performed the work in her unique staging and characterization almost fifty times. Her debut recording for Naxos' Laureate Series, of virtuoso works by Italian composer/violist Alessandro Rolla, received high critical praise. A recipient of the BBC New Generation artist and Borletti Buitoni Awards for her work in chamber music, she appears at major festivals such as Verbier, Marlboro, Spoleto, Aldeburgh, Delft and IMS Prussia Cove. Her collaborative partners have included members of the Beaux Arts Trio, Guarneri, Vermeer and Alban Berg Quartets and the period ensemble L'Archibudelli.

In 2015 she founded the Ilumina, which has rapidly risen to become Brazil's leading chamber music festival as well as risk-taking creator of content and forward-thinking social advancement project. Since her school days teaching strings in the Atlanta inner city, Jennifer has been devoted to the power of art to inspire social progress in us all. Ilumina unites leading young talents from Latin America with international soloists in the belief that diversity in narrative will create exciting musical results and new possibilities for a worthy generation of urban artists from the Global South. Ilumina is now in great demand internationally, known for its energy, its fresh and unusual programming and for connecting audiences to the humanity in music.

Born in the United States of Cherokee and German heritage, Jennifer chose the viola in her school orchestra because she thought it had the most beautiful sound. She went on to study with Karen Tuttle at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School and also pursued interests in politics and astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania. Her other important mentors were Nobuko Imai and Steven Isserlis. Jennifer Stumm is currently International Chair of Viola Studies at the Royal College of Music, London and gives masterclasses around the world. She performs on a viola by Gasparo da Salò, c 1590, generously on permanent loan from a private collection.

She and her husband Alexander L'Estrange have been delighting audiences with their jazz duo L'Estranges in the Night for over twenty years with a unique mix of original songs, jazz standards, cabaret numbers and swung Bach. They launched their album New things to say to a sell-out audience at Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho, London.

As a soloist Joanna has performed on many of the world's most famous stages, from New York's Carnegie Hall to Tokyo's Orchard Hall to La Scala Milan and The Chatelet in Paris. She has sung to a packed O2 Arena with Pete Tong and The Heritage Orchestra and at the Proms, Edinburgh International Festival and Glastonbury as well as for the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Her concert repertoire includes Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings trilogy, Will Todd's Mass in Blue (with the Will Todd trio and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra), Duke Ellington's Sacred Concerts and numerous works by Steve Reich, Stockhausen, John Adams and Luciano Berio, whose iconic masterpiece Sinfonia she has performed fifty times with the world's leading orchestras and conductors. Joanna's discography comprises a cappella and solo jazz albums, contemporary orchestral works, numerous CDs with the award-winning chamber choir Tenebrae and hundreds of soundtracks to video games and Hollywood films.

As a composer, Joanna has written songs and arrangements for The Kings Singers, The Military Wives Choirs, SingUp the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and The Swingle Singers. She regularly collaborates with Alexander L'Estrange on his popular series of community choral works. She also writes sacred anthems and music for television; her new congregational communion setting The St Helen's Service was published by the RSCM to mark International Women's Day 2018.

Joanna is in demand throughout the world as a choral coach and workshop leader, working for all of the leading organisations which promote singing in the UK and coaching choirs in the art of singing jazz and pop with her workshop You can sing…but can you sing?! She is the founder and director of Aquila, an all-female a cappella group at Cambridge University and is a guest conductor for the NYCGB. A patron of Voice Festival UK, Joanna appeared on television as a judge for the Sky 1 series Sing: Ultimate A Cappella. She lives in Hertfordshire with her husband and their two musically-gifted sons.

Meg Hamilton - Viola

For Meg, Kosmos bridges the western and non-western music worlds, while providing opportunities for viola playing, daring creativity, group composing, cross-genre arranging, and in particular freedom either to use or abandon rules and labels. Thus began her on-going fascination with music from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Turkey, Greece, the Middle East and beyond. That same year she joined and has since co-lead She'koyokh on violin, a group now hailed as the UK's “best klezmer and Balkan band” (Songlines magazine). She'Koyokh has showcased Meg throughout UK and Europe at stages such as Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Aldeburgh's Snape proms, and WOMAD festival and the group has produced many critically acclaimed albums including Five Stars from the Evening Standard and fRoots Magazine.

Meg's sees her fiddle as her second passport. Her discoveries are transferable to her treasured viola and the ever evolving ingredients in the “Kosmos Kauldron”.

Forthcoming conducting engagements include Faure Requiem with the newly formed Chiltern Arts Festival Chorus, BBC Singers, a special MacMillan premiere composed for the Tryst’s fifth anniversary, Accentus, Britten Sinfonia Voices in Easter Voices as part of the Esa-Pekka Salonen Composer Focus at the Barbican, a return invitation to direct the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra featuring violinist Nicola Benedetti and exciting performances with the Danish VokalEnsemblet across their 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.

Recent engagements have seen Eamonn conduct a world premiere of Thomas Hyde Magnificat with The Sixteen in Bruges and Antwerp, Mozart Requiem with the Thomas Tallis Society and Mozart La finta giardiniera at the Ryedale Festival with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Experience Ensemble - “He kept them right on the ball.” (York Press)

Eamonn has a highly successful five-disc Polish Baroque series with The Sixteen. The first disc, music by Bartlomiej Pekiel, was shortlisted for a Gramophone Award (‘Richly dramatic’ – The Observer). The fifth disc, music by Marcin Mielczewski, was released to widespread critical acclaim in September 2017.

In 2008 Eamonn was appointed a Visiting Professor to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, where he teaches ensemble singing and directs the Guildhall Consort. Eamonn will be conducting the Jersey Chamber Orchestra on the 19th May at the Jersey Opera House.

He has appeared as a soloist with many leading orchestras: Philharmonia, Orchestre National de France, Brussels Philharmonic, Les Siècles, Wiener Concert- Verein to name but a few. He appears in major festivals such as Verbier, Ravinia, Printemps des Arts in Monaco, Pablo Casals, and Aix-en-Provence. Christian-Pierre is a founding member of the renowned Trio Dali and plays regularly in recital with pianist Lise de la Salle. An exclusive artist with Sony Classical, Christian-Pierre has already released three albums unanimously praised by the international press including Diapason d’Or, Choc Classica, Gramophone Editor’s Choice, and the BBC.
