Thank you for coming to the seventh Liberation International Music Festival. It featured over twenty internationally acclaimed artists, performing beautiful, dramatic and atmospheric music in stunning settings in the beautiful island of Jersey. With a theme of reconciliation the concerts highlighted many of the great nations who were reduced to fighting and now enjoy peace.

We enjoyed Jazz at Hamptonne with international stars Clare Teal, the world renowned clarinetist Michael Collins and his friends at the Opera House, and soloists from the Royal Ballet at Fort Regent. A special night featured the Royal Marines and the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne looked at the liberation of France by the US troops in Liberated by Broadway. Another first for the festival were the performances of the Berlin Philharmonic Octet who gave a stunning programme with readings by Trevor Eves and Sharon Maughan. The educational outreach work touched over 2000 people with some very exciting concerts in the Opera House about the Sounds of Music and there were a series of masterclasses across St Helier and at the Jersey Academy of Music.

2016 is just around the corner and if you would like to help make the 70th anniversary special then get in touch and volunteer. The Festival's theme explores liberation, artistic freedom and the power of music to liberate the spirit. In keeping with these noble aims we invite you to join our crew by clicking here!
