Premier Brass perform a world premiere at the place where Major Peirson died defending Jersey from the attacking French forces in the last land battle on British soil. Enjoy soup from the soup kitchen as fanfares ring out around your ears.

Liberation Reflection at the War Tunnels

Poems and readings about Jersey's Liberation are interspersed between the movements of The Quartet for the End of Time in Jersey's atmospheric War Tunnels.

Histoire du Tango at St Helier Town Hall

An exceptional night of chamber music including Piazolla’s Histoire du Tango, Mozart’s beautiful Clarinet Quintet and Piazzolla’s Four Seasons in the historic old building commandeered for meetings in the occupation.

Educational Chamber Music Workshops at the Jersey Academy of Music

A Community event featuring young musicians being inspired by the star soloists in a series of workshops and masterclasses.  Come, learn and enjoy listening to their insights.

Jazz at Elizabeth Castle

Clare Teal and her Jazz Trio
Music to Melt to       Jamie Cullum

A family day of jazz at the beautiful Jersey Heritage site Elizabeth Castle.  The multiple award winning Clare Teal and her Trio perform popular jazz classics and a stunning collection of originals either written or co-written by Clare, along with a selection from her favourite songwriters from the Great British songbook.  

The show pays homage to material over an 80 year period with classics such as ‘Spread A Little Happiness’ by Vivan Ellis, ‘Smile’ by comic legend Charlie Chaplin as well as modern classics such as ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ by  Ewan MacColl, ‘He Was Beautiful’ by Stanley Myers and Dame Cleo Laine.

Come with a hamper and a bottle of champagne or enjoy the delicious catering provided by Jersey Potteries.  Doors open at 12.30.

Choral Fete de la Musique at Longueville Manor

A celebration of Opera and Choirs brings together international stars and the best of Jersey in a night of multiple performances in the exquisite setting of Longueville Manor.

Liberated with Lorca at Mont Orgueil

A walk across Jersey’s wild North coast explores the 75th anniversary of the poet Lorca’s life and Jersey’s Spanish connection as 1500 Spanish forced labourers were shipped to Jersey by the occupiers following defeat by Franco.

Al Fresco Concert at the Weighbridge

A selection of the international soloists perform a programme of well known waltzes and tangos at the Weighbridge - the location where the liberating forces landed. This celebration of Liberation forms part of a larger concert of wartime music provided by Jersey Tourism.

Yacht Concert in the Bay of Beauport

A concert at sea in the beautiful Bay of Beauport with a mystery artist to be announced.

Tickets Tickets:   £15 with Jersey Coastal Cruises (leaves at 2.30pm)

Liberation Celebration at Chateau Vermont
Programme to include:

Brahms – Clarinet Quintet  
Mendelssohn – Piano Trio in D Minor 

Come and be seduced by the charismatic playing of Michael Collins, Nicola Benedetti, the Sitkovetsky Trio and friends in a night of wonderful chamber music.
